1. Scope and acceptance
By creating an account, joining a workspace, or using the website, app, PWA, GECIWall, or an associated feature, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you use GECI for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it to the rules applicable to its workspace.
GECI is intended for professional event management and coordination. The organization administering each workspace decides who receives access and remains responsible for the instructions, content, and operational data it enters into the service.
2. Accounts and access
- Provide accurate details, use only accounts and phone numbers you are authorized to control, and keep authentication codes confidential.
- Do not share sessions, bypass permissions, access workspaces or events without authorization, or impersonate another person or organization.
- Access to a GECI account is reserved for people aged 18 or over. Before completing first access, the user must state, through a neutral age confirmation, that they meet this minimum age. Anyone under 18 must not create an account, accept an invitation, or use a GECI account.
- Administrators must assign the minimum access needed, remove access that is no longer legitimate, and review content before making it public.
- Administrators must not invite or grant access to a GECI account to anyone under 18.
- Information about minors may be handled only where they are event participants, guests, or otherwise connected with an event, never as account holders or account users. In those cases, the responsible organization must ensure an appropriate legal basis, notice to guardians, and proportionate safeguards.
3. Respect, harassment, and hate
You must not use GECI to threaten, stalk, intimidate, humiliate, harass, or encourage violence against anyone. Hate speech or symbols, dehumanization, and discrimination targeting people or groups based on characteristics including origin, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, age, or another protected characteristic are also prohibited.
Professional disagreements do not justify personal attacks, public exposure, retaliation against reporters, or coordinated abuse.
4. Sexual content and child safety
You must not upload, create, request, store, share, or promote pornography, explicit sexual acts, sexual services, non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual exploitation, or any content that sexualizes minors.
Child sexual abuse or exploitation material, grooming, sextortion, trafficking, and attempts to contact minors for sexual purposes are strictly prohibited. GECI may immediately remove content, suspend access, preserve only the information needed, and report matters to the competent authorities. Do not forward illegal material when reporting it; provide only its location and the details needed to identify it.
5. Illegal activity, fraud, and physical safety
- Do not use the service for fraud, scams, forgery, identity theft, corruption, money laundering, sanctions evasion, illegal trade, or regulatory violations.
- Do not publish instructions or coordinate activity intended to cause physical harm, facilitate violence, exploit people, or put participants and teams at risk.
- Do not misrepresent events, tickets, payments, providers, credentials, qualifications, or the identity of people and organizations.
- Comply with applicable laws, venue rules, and event safety, accessibility, employment, consumer, tax, and licensing requirements.
6. Privacy and confidential information
You may enter, access, and share personal or confidential data only when you have permission and a valid basis to do so. Publishing contacts, documents, locations, credentials, medical, financial, or private information to intimidate, harm, or expose someone is prohibited.
Respect configured visibility, protect private links, QR codes, and exports, and do not use information obtained through GECI for improper surveillance, abusive profiling, or purposes incompatible with the event. Review the Privacy Policy for details about processing, providers, and available rights.
7. Spam, integrity, and technical security
- Do not send spam, repetitive unsolicited communications, phishing, malware, malicious code, or content designed to deceive recipients.
- Do not test vulnerabilities without written authorization, interfere with the service, overload infrastructure, bypass limits, automate abusive collection, or attempt to obtain another person's tokens, codes, or credentials.
- Do not alter identifiers, remove safety notices, or use integrations, bots, or scraping in a way that conflicts with documentation or third-party rights.
- Responsibly report a potential security issue to support and do not exploit or disclose data you accessed by mistake.
8. Content and intellectual property
You retain your rights in content you submit. You grant GECI only the non-exclusive permission needed to host, process, reproduce, and display that content according to the features and permissions you choose.
You may upload only trademarks, photographs, music, video, documents, software, and other material that you created, licensed, or are authorized to use. Do not infringe copyright, trademarks, trade secrets, image rights, or other intellectual-property rights. A report should identify the protected work or right, the disputed content, and a legitimate contact method.
9. AI features
AI features help prepare drafts, suggestions, answers, and captions, but may produce incomplete or inaccurate results. Always review an output before using, publishing, or turning it into an operational decision.
Do not use AI to bypass these rules, create illegal or abusive content, make high-impact decisions without appropriate human review, or submit data you are not authorized to share. Permission to share data with the external provider is managed separately in the app.
10. Moderation, reporting, and enforcement
You can report content, conduct, or an account through the contact shown on this page. Where possible, include the workspace or event link or identifier, date, an objective description, and the details needed to locate the issue. Do not send authentication codes, passwords, or unnecessary copies of illegal or intimate content.
Workspace administrators may moderate content and remove access within their permissions. GECI may review reports, limit distribution, remove content, preserve evidence, warn users, suspend or terminate accounts and workspaces, and cooperate with the responsible organization, providers, and authorities when needed. Severity, urgency, context, recurrence, and risk to others are considered.
Reports concerning child exploitation, an immediate threat, violence, or exposure of sensitive data are prioritized. If there is an immediate danger, contact emergency services or local authorities first. Retaliation against a good-faith reporter is prohibited. You may request review of an enforcement action through the same contact, explaining the context and supporting details.
11. Service, suspension, and changes
Access depends on the plan, workspace configuration, and technical availability. We may change or discontinue features, apply reasonable limits, and suspend the service for maintenance, security, breach, legal obligations, or protection of others. The organization remains responsible for keeping copies of material it needs for its own obligations.
These terms may be updated when the product, risks, or legal requirements change. The version and date on this page identify the text in force; material changes will be communicated through appropriate channels. If you do not accept a change, stop using the service and you may delete the account.
Portuguese law applies, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections and other rules that cannot be excluded. Questions about these terms may be sent to the contact below.
